DSV Tahun2 : Cetakan - menghasilkan pembalut hadiah dengan teknik cetakan

Assalammualaikum dan selamat sejahtera kepada semua pembaca senyap yang mengunjungi laman ini. Selasa adalah hari yang mempunyai waktu seni dalam jadual waktu saya, maka hasil murid-murid kali ini telah mencapai objektif mendorong saya untuk ambil gambar dan kongsi dengan semua.

Tajuk yang saya dedahkan kepada murid-murid saya pada kali ini ialah: Hasilkan satu pembalut hadiah dengan menggunakan teknik cetakan.

Kalau mengikut RPT, bahan untuk cetakan termasuklah bongkah kayu, tali parcel dan gam uhu. Bagi Hana, budak tahun 2 yang umurnya 8 tahun, mana nak cari bongkah kayu. Kalau disuruh beli, bukan tentu dapat cari bongkah kayu di mana-mana kedai. Maka, Hana cuba menjadi lebih kreatif dan inovasi dimana bongkah kayu diganti dengan kotak air minuman. Tali parcel digantikan dengan benang kait yang senang didapati dari kedai benang ataupun kedai kraftangan. Uhu tidak diperlukan sama sekali sebab benang kait boleh diikat dengan ketat.

Mari kita mulakan PdP kita.

Bahan yang diperlukan: Kotak air minuman, benang kait, cat air, berus cat, dan kertas lukisan.

Langkah:
     1. Bersihkan kotak air minuman terlebih dahulu sebelum digunakan.
     2. Lilitkan tali benang pada kotak air minuman.
     3. Sediakan cat air dan kertas lukisan.
     4. Gunakan berus cat, warnakan hanya satu permukaan benang yang dililit pada kotak aminuman.

         (tiga permukaan untuk pegang)

     5. Cetakan corak lilitan benang yang telah diwarnakan dengan cat air ke atas kertas lukisan.

     6. Ulangi langkah 4 dan 5 untuk menghasilkan corak cetakan yang berulang.
     7. Galakkan murid mencetak corak tersebut dengan terancang.
     8. Murid boleh menggunakan warna yang berlain untuk menghasilkan karya yang lebih menarik.

Di bawah adalah hasil kerja yang dihasilkan oleh murid saya yang kreatif dan cantik.

My Reflection On Native Speaker Program

Assalammualaikum and good evening to all my readers. Hereby I write my reflection on Native Speaker Program that I had followed for 6 months.

I received a lot of guidance and information from my mentor (Nick Sutherland) in this program. The most effective method that helps me a lot in my teaching experience is the Classroom Behaviour Management. I make a routine for the class and the pupils enjoy it. The Full Attention Cue is working in my class control. But, I have to in force my 'hands up' rule in the class because the pupils love to call out to me. So far, I'm quite satisfies with my classroom management skill, but there still some room for improvement.

In teaching and learning section, I get many new ideas to improve my lesson going. I started to prepare some extra activities for the 'Fast Finisher'. Some of the activities I prepared are lesson related, enhance reading and writing skill and also sight words for strengthen their vocabulary. Fast finisher activity encourage pupils to complete their task in time with their full attention as poor handwriting or incorrect spellings will be sending them back to their place for corrections.

Overall, I am very thankful that I am involve in this program as it did helps me a lot in my teaching skills.

[Segmen]UPSR oh UPSR

Hello semua, Hana malam nie tergerak nak join segmen yang dianjurkan oleh Cikgu Ayu. Cikgu Ayu dah 2 tahun jadi S/U Peperiksaan UPSR di sekolah. Tugas jadi SUP memang sangat mencabar. Tahun nie pula,Hana pun terlibat bertugas bersama dengan peperiksaan yang gempak nie. Memang sesuai untuk join Segmen UPSR sekarang.

Cikgu Ayu ada 3 soalan nak tanya,

1. Tahun bilakah anda menduduki peperiksaan UPSR?
Ans: Adui Cikgu Ayu. Terbongkar la rahsia umur kalau macam nie. Takpe la. Hana jawab je. 1996.Huh!! Tua sungguh tengok tahun tu.

2. Apakah keputusan anda?
Ans: Setakat boleh tahan la. 2A4B. Hana sekolah jenis kebangsaan. Hana ada ambil BC. Tapi yang dapat A tu, English and Math.

3. Apakah subjek yang paling suka.
Ans: Kalau luar daripada subjek dalam UPSR boleh tak?? Saya paling suka subjek Kimia. Buat ekperimen kimia sangat seronok.

Ucapan buat Cikgu Ayu,
Tabah dan sabarlah ketika menghadapi markah-markah murid. Usaha tangga kejayaan.

Hana ada juga satu permintaan kat Cikgu Ayu. Cikgu Ayu jawab jugak la 3 soalan yang Cikgu Ayu beri kat kami tu. Nak tau juga jawapannya. Hee hee hee.. Nie baru adil..kan kan??

Sebagai penghujung post ini, Hana nak ucapkan selamat maju jaya kepada semua calon2 yang bakal menduduki UPSR pada 2 hari yang akan datang. Do your best!!

Birthday Goodies Bag

Wow we goodies bag!!

Oh, hi readers. Excuse me for not greeting you first. The goodies bag cover my nose.. Opps..my eyes.

Today I got a Birthday goodies bag. It is from a Birthday Girl in the Math class I teach. Well, I never been to her house or attending any birthday party in the school. But, I just receive the goodies bag from her.

There is a trend in the current school I teach. Birthday Boy or Birthday Girl will bring along several goodies bag to school to give it to her best friends or even their favourite teacher. Guess I'm lucky to be her favourite teacher to receive one of her Birthday Goodies Bag. School kids goodies bag is simply fill with candies and sweets, not fancy adult stuff. Same goes with this goodies bag I received earlier.

Her goodies bag is just a simple plastic bag that fill up with snack, jelly, chocolate and candy. At the front of her goodies bag, a cute owl sticker that written the Birthday Girl's name and her 10th birthday. This is an afford made by her parents, to order a cute sticker with their daughter's name on it.

Rainbow Zip Bag

Have you ever think of many many zips can make a bag? Ya, the zip that sew on your dresses and trousers. Thanks to creativity,somebody think of a new way of making a bag. They use as many zip as they can to make the bag they wish to have.

I first saw the bag was when I'm in my class teaching those kids Mathamatic. Then at the corner of my eye, I saw that unique pencil case of my pupil. I was so curious and I asked her if every zip functionable? The answer is yes! That is totally so cool. A pencil case that you can open with any zip you like. Front or back, left or right. But, I didn't manage to take picture.

In the same week, oraybe the next day, I saw another bag with the same design again. But this time just a part of it use the zips concept. Don't want to miss the chance again, I snapped some photo of it.

Ms Brain With The Scramble Mind

Ms Brain

When your mind were scrambled up like a dish of scrambled eggs, you can not think straight, you can not act right, you even can not speak fluently like usual. All in your mind will be the unsolved problems. it keeps spinning and spinning around your head and ringing beside your ears.

When that happen, your brain started to stop thinking about other things. The brain will tell you to ignore your hunger and make you lose your appetite, ignore your tiredness and you will have insomnia. The brain shut itself up to think of the way to solve the problems. Your eyes lose it focus point, your ears seem to hear nothing at all, and your hand will automatically support your heavy head on the desk. This will continue happen until your brain finally think upan ideal way to solve the problems

At the time, an extra help from another brain will be very helpful where that other brain is functioning well.

Oh, Ms Brain, I think you have a scramble mind now.

I'm Ready For Performance - Sepuluh Budak Hitam

Hello everyone.

It is raining tonight, it is kinda cold out there and my bed keeps calling me to roll on it. Before that, I better finish my post. In my previous post, I talked about my preparation for school performance.  This Friday, my school will held a ceremony for "Caring Teacher" - Majlis Guru Penyayang. I was given the task of preparing a performance for that event. As a class teacher for Year 6 as well, I need to prepare them for coming Motivation Camp Performance also. After a few days of collecting ideas and example. Now, I am ready to go on stage.

With 10 boys and 10 girls, I took the idea of Ten Little Indian and Sepuluh Budak Hitam. I made a choral speaking team. Experiences of making a choral speaking team? Yes. I trained a 25 pupils team, back in year 2007 when I was in SK Aminudin Baki for practical training.

If you google for Sepuluh Budak Hitam's lyric, you will find it a bit violence for children. Therefore, I recompose the lyric and make it suitable and adapt to the ceremony. I feel I wanna share it because I'm kinda proud of it.

Here the new choral for my Year 6 students:

10 budak nakal, main di dalam kelas,
1 langgar pintu, dah tinggal lah 9.

9 budak nakal, main di luar kelas,
1 jatuh tergolek, dah tinggal lah 8.

8 budak nakal, main di dalam dewan,
1 tergelincir jauh, dah tinggal lah 7.

7 budak nakal, main di padang sekolah,
1 terpijak paku, dah tinggal lah 6.

6 budak nakal, main kejar-kejar,
1 terseliuh kaki, dah tinggal lah 5.

5 budak nakal, main di tepi sungai,
1 terjatuh sungai, dah tinggal lah 4.

4 budak nakal, main di gelanggang,
1 haus kepenatan, dah tinggal lah 3.

3 budak nakal, main di dalam perpustakaan,
1 dihempap buku, dah tinggal lah 2.

2 budak nakal, main di dalam tandas,
1 jatuh ke lubang, dah tinggal lah 1.

1 budak nakal, main di pejabat guru,
dimarah oleh cikgu, SEMUA BALIK KELAS.

10 budak nakal, duduk di dalam kelas,
tunggu cikgu masuk, dalam hati gelisah.

10 budak nakal, mula menangis-nangis,
mana tau cikgu, tangan bawa rotan.

Cikgu masuk kelas, dibawanya nasihat,
belajar sungguh-sungguh, jangan hampakan ibubapa.

10 budak nakal, mula insaf diri,
terima kasih banyak, semua guru penyayang.

There!Of course there are action after each sentence. But, I just don't know how to type it in there. So, any teachers who accidentally found this blog, you are welcome to make this choral as one of your choral speaking script collection.

School Performance

Hello everyone, today I just been put on a great responsibility on preparing a performance for upcoming event.  I will have to come up with some modern dances and traditional dances. The performers will be my Year 6 students. Oh gosh, I never really taught dancing before!

Hush! Don't be a cry baby and try to plan the dance steps will solve the problems. No doubt, I will ask for help from anybody who willing to lend me a hand

Recalling my memories, I was a performer back in the school days. Our teacher was very fierce; she will make sure everyone of the dancing team memorizes the dance steps well. With the cane in her hand, we had no choice and had to minimize our mistakes. But, she had produced a good dance team with very little mistakes.

Back to future..err..I mean now. What am I going to do with my 5 boys and 5 girls team? And I only left 10 days to produce any performance. Is there enough time for training a dancing team? Or, I should train some academic performance such as choir or choral speaking? Make it simple and make it short, but make it with attractive props and background.

Apple Banana Bee-zy Day..

Hai everyone, this post not really related to apple nor banana.. Those fruits came in mind when I was thinking for the title.

This week is a very busy week because it is the exam week!!! Everybody is busy chewing the books and the teachers are busy preparing the questions papers. I had done my study and exam part few years ago and now I am focusing on the asssessment. I got a total of eight papers to be ready and send them into the exam hall.

Year 6 English Paper 1 and Paper 2, Year 6 Kajian Tempatan, Year 6 Pendidikan Seni Visual, Year 5 Mathematic Paper  1 and Paper 2, Year 4 Pendidikan Moral and finally Year 2 KSSR assessment on Mathematic. So, teachers out there who accidently found my blog and feel want to swap exam paper, I'm glad to exchange it for future test and examination.

After exam, there come the most headache part, marking the paper. With a lot of funny answers and sentences, sometime it give me a laugh, sometime it make me so sad with the serious spelling error and grammar mistakes.

Here I show you some of my onion with tear gas.

Hmmm..it is really a hectic week. My head is heavy actually. But, I don't want to miss out my blogging on today very special date,29/2/2012. This twenty-nine of February only come in once in four years, it's precious. Haha.. Thereby, I want to wish anyone who has his/her birthday today, happy 7th birthday celebration. You better do it big and happening. If you miss it, there will be another four years to wait for the actual date.

So, other than students, who else got homework to do? Ya, housewife. They got house duties to do, and it is much heavier than homework given from school teacher. Who else got homework to do other than students and housewives? Ehem..actually teacher also got homework to do..

Tomorrow I got Year 6 art class. I need to prepare something at least to present in the class before teaching those students what to draw or what to do. Last week, the title given to them was “The Alien”. They drew their alien out of their own creativity. One of them did have a nice idea and drew a green skinny eight spider legs alien. That boy was so mischievous, his alien wear shirt and got a name tag. He tagged his friends in the picture. That gave me a laugh to imagine one of my students became the alien that boy drew. It is too bad that I forgot to snap a picture before I left the office. I wish to show you guys/gals and share the laughter together. Although the idea is good and interesting, but the picture don’t have any tone. No shade and shadow. Not attractive enough.
Now, we go back to the topic about homework. I planned to teach those kids some colour tone. So, I spend an evening drawing a flower with nice tone.

So far, this is my homework for art class tomorrow. I didn’t finish it because I need some blank space to show the students how to colour tomorrow.
Oh no, there still got Math and English subject teaching aids need to be done.

New year new start 2012

Hi everyone who drop by my blog. Today is the 8th day of 2012, I finally squeeze some time for my blog. It been a busy week for starting a new year. End of last year, I had my new house in my school cleaned. Things that need to move into the new house already packed and put inside the house. I left the house for my anual holiday back to my hometown in Penang. I came back to Miri only at 28th of December last year. I celebrated new year here with my deary, but we left early because I was not feeling so well that time. What a start for new year huh?:-( But, I pray for everything to go well this year.

Then, there was the busy week making my house a place call home. New chair, new gas stove, new bedsheet, new pillows, new broom..bla bla bla..new many things until I almost broke..hee hee just kidding. Yet, moving in new house need a lot of commitment.

Sunday, finally sit down and blog about this. Nothing to brag about it. Hmm, the house is big and I own the house myself. I make one of the room laundry room and hang all my laundry clothes inside. When everybody is running home collecting their clothes while raining, I can just relax and continue what I am doing. *grin*

Tomorrow will be the first assembly hold in my school this year, shall I wear something nicer for celebrating the first assembly? Celebrate?Nah, who will be celebrating? Just me and me myself..hahaha..*going insane*

Argh! I still got so many work to do, so many preparation need to ready for my students who going to take their UPSR this year. And, I am the class teacher of Year 6 this year. I already start to feel the pressure that going to put on me..Oh NOOO!!! I hope I am ready for all this.:-(

Student’s Art

Working as a teacher, students are my client. Today, I would like to share a piece of my student’s mind.

I had a Mathematic Class for Primary 1 this morning. After some brief revision and some instructions, I scattered my students into 3 groups. Their task as a group was writing down numbers 20-30 on the handout paper I gave them. As they carried out their task, I quietly observed them from a side. Some groups were very good in teamwork their work came out quite nice. Some groups kept arguing and quarreling and their work hardly drew out a straight line. Bunch of 7 years old kids chattering and arguing seem make my class very noisy. But, I let them because I think that is another kind of the social learning.

Individual task came just after the group task had done. Now, every each of my students gets a piece of handout and they would have to perform their own work. Although students started to complete the given task alone, they seem to finish their work earlier and faster. Hah, when no argument, work just done it in time.

While those students were busy doing their work, I secretly observing a ‘not so bright’ boy. He did his work quietly but with lots of mistakes. So, I help him with those silly mistakes. Later, I just left him for his self development.

At the end of the class, T was surprise by the boy just now. He has a difference looking butterflies then the others. I never teach or show how to draw the butterfly. I wonder where he learnt to draw that butterfly. I’m wondering. Is there any hidden message from these nice butterflies?

I just love seeing the kids grow.
